 You all know the new Google Maps feature, Street View but how many of you asked themselves yet how were those pictures taken?


Immersive Media is a company that does 360-degree videos and pictures "on the field". They have the above camera mounted on the top of their vehicles and all they have to do is drive through every street in order to capture the images. They did so for New York City and it seems they did a wonderful job.

However, the Street View pictures for San Francisco look a bit clearer than New York City, and that's because Google took their own van out and went filming.
