The Brunch Basket
For those of you were unable to attend the LifeLight brunches in Rosenort, Winnipeg and Steinbach (all in Manitoba), here are a few morsels for you to savour:
Pink tulips on the tables, with matching pink and green serviettes, greeted the eighty people who attended the LifeLight brunch in Steinbach on April 13.
Roger Armbruster presented an exciting report about revival
in many of Canada's northern communities.
Kevin Clarke is a chaplain at race tracks and is excited about the opportunities to distribute NASCAR New Testaments.
Richard Peters prayed that his passion for motorcycles would give him opportunities to reach people for Christ. He is part of the Christian Motorcycle Association, and the Lord has answered his prayer. At the Stony Mountain Penitentiary he had the opportunity to minister to the past president of a biker gang.
Henry Penner loves to distribute Scriptures at Winnipeg Harvest! This winter he also enjoyed giving Spanish Scriptures to people in Mexico.
Margaret Cowell has copies of How to Find God available for students in the Alpha course at her church. Shirley, one of the Alpha students, shared how the course has helped her to come back to faith and belief after many tragedies in her life.
Kent Dueck reported that My City, My God, a New Testament with testimonies of teens, brings hope to many teens who are on drugs and involved in gangs in Winnipeg.
Project LAMBS provides pastors in northern Canada, the Ukraine and Jamaica with NIV Study Bibles. Jim Humphries commented on how much the pastors treasure these Bibles–they save the boxes and carry the Bibles in them because they are so special.
Ron and Anna Plett, accompanied by Ernie Klassen on the piano, sang, He's yearning for someone to carry the life-giving Word far and near, He's waiting for hearts that are willing, for ears that are open to hear.
Donavan Friesen was introduced as the new Executive Director of LifeLight Ministries.
The Edge is an indoor skateboarding park in Winnipeg. They use Bibles from LifeLight Ministries for their Bible studies (see separate article.)

Dave Fleck is on staff at Forward House, a ministry dedicated to helping men (and sometimes children) to overcome their various problems by trusting Christ and the awesome power of God. Many residents have accepted the Lord and found victory over their addictions. Dave said, " At present we have six children in this building, along with two dogs and two cats." LifeLight is providing Forward House with NIV Study Bibles.
Ken Geddert reported on how his students in a Christian school got excited about the Sports NTs. Several were part of a football team where most of the players were not Christians. It was exciting for them to be able to present the players with
these Scriptures, giving them an opportunity to share their faith. One of them is now attending church regularly.
Brian Dueck said it had been a rewarding experience to hand out copies of The LifeLight to many students in the Interlake-area schools. In one school the principal requested extra copies in case students would request them.
Ron Friesen shared about the excitement of many people in Cuba when he presented them with a Bible. He said he could have gotten rid of many more if he had had them with him.
The Covenant Players presented a skit portraying how not to distribute Scriptures. They were excited about "discovering" LifeLight and the many reasonably priced Scriptures available from them.

Christina was grateful for the Teen Study Bibles which were presented to her for their youth group.
Bob Wahl, a Christian biker, said that a lot of bikers don't know where their lives are headed. The Christian Motorcycle Association is there to minister, to be a friend and a witness.
